The 16-year-old is viewed as one of the best emerging prospects in the Hammers academy and has already attracted admiring glances from Liverpool and Manchester United.

West Ham are hopeful starlet Benicio Baker-Boaitey will pen professional terms with the club

Barcelona have already been linked with the youngster.

West Ham will offer the teenager a professional contract, which he is able to sign once he turns 17 in January. However, there is significant doubt over whether Baker-Boaitey will sign the contract as interest from elsewhere grows.

West Ham are keen for Baker-Boaitey to sign pro terms and could fast-track the youngster into the first-team plans over the coming months in an attempt to convince the teenager of his pathway into the first team.

Mbappe2020 hope as 'Jurgen Klopp contacts player's dad'

Jurgen Klopp ‘contacts Kylian Mbappe’s father to discuss his son’s future’ as Liverpool boss sounds out potential Anfield move for PSG superstar amid growing uncertainty over Sadio Mane

  • Jurgen Klopp has allegedly made contact with the father of Kylian Mbappe
  • High-flying Liverpool have long been linked with the France superstar
  • Mbappe previously dropped hints his future lies away from Paris Saint-Germain
  • A move for the youngster would likely break the world record transfer fee

Liverpool could be poised to show real interest in Kylian Mbappe after manager Jurgen Klopp reportedly contacted the player’s father for a chat about his future.

The high-flying Reds have long been linked with the France superstar, with Klopp making no secret of his admiration for the 21-year-old.

Now, reports in Mbappe’s homeland suggest Liverpool are upping the ante regarding a transfer, with the manager himself making contact to sound out the logistics of a future deal.

Kylian Mbappe has once again been strongly linked with a move to England with Liverpool

Wilfried Mbappe, the father of Kylian, has reportedly been contacted by Jurgen Klopp

According to Le10sport in France, Klopp has reached out to the player’s father, Wilfried Mbappe, regarding a potential blockbuster transfer next summer.

The report claims the Reds are in the market for a huge name in the event that Senegalese talisman Sadio Mane departs for pastures new.

Still, any such move for Mbappe would likely have to shatter the world record transfer fee paid for a footballer.

The record still currently stands at the eye-watering £198million Paris Saint Germain paid to trigger the release clause of Neymar in 2017.

The Liverpool manager has on several occasions revealed his admiration for the PSG star

Figures around the £250m mark have been mooted for Mbappe, but the market has become distorted amid the coronavirus pandemic and big name stars could now move at lower figures.

As reported by Sportsmail, Liverpool did make contact with the representative of Mbappe in the summer of 2017, when the then Monaco star was preparing to make his first big move on the European stage.

Such has been the rise of Premier League champions elect Liverpool in recent seasons, Klopp now feels the world’s best players see Anfield at the ultimate destination.

Despite this, however, the German has previously admitted the chances of putting together a deal for a player like Mbappe remains increasingly difficult.

‘(Buying) this calibre of player is difficult. I don’t see any club at the moment who can buy Kylian Mbappe from PSG,’ said Klopp when asked about the Frenchman in November 2019.

‘I don’t see any club, that is how it is. We are involved in the clubs that cannot do it – it is as easy as that.

‘OK, from a sporting point of view, there are not a lot of reasons to not sign him – what a player he is! It is about the money, of course. No chance. Absolutely no chance.’

Klopp added: ‘The club is in a very good position. Image-wise, it maybe (always) was but now I think it is easier to live the life of a Liverpool supporter and that means automatically being in a situation to sign the players you want to sign.’
